Boost for Karaka-bound colt

Talented Helo Youmzain three-year-old Stormland has raced to a timely victory at Canterbury Park.

He sat at the back of the field before rider Zac Lloyd brought the hot favourite home with an irresistible finish to trounce his rivals over 1100 metres.

The Kris Lees-trained representative is now a two-time winner from only six starts and our homebred’s latest success has further boosted the profile of his younger half-brother.

We will offer the Savabeel youngster in our draft at New Zealand Bloodstock’s National Yearling Sale later this month as Lot 126.

The colt is out of the More Than Ready mare Sienna Rose, also the dam of Sword Of State’s recent juvenile runner-up Imperial Red who was a $180,000 Karaka graduate.

From the family of our three-time Group 1 winner Joliestar, Sienna Rose is now back in foal to Hello Youmzain.

We offered Stormland at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale where he was knocked down for A$325,000 to Darby Racing and Deburgh Equine.
