Imperial Rose makes all

Sword Of State was represented by another impressive winner on Friday afternoon at Taupō, with his three-year-old filly Imperial Rose leading from pillar to post to record a stylish victory under Courtney Barnes.

Trained by Stephen Marsh for the MyRacehorse ownership group, Imperial Rose is a graduate of our 2025 New Zealand Bloodstock Book 1 draft, where she sold for $180,000 to the TAB Racing Club.

Imperial Rose is out of Sienna Rose, a five-time winning daughter of More Than Ready and a half-sister to stakes-winning two-year-old Ebhaar. She hails from an outstanding family that also includes champion sprinter Joliestar and Group 1-producing stallion Merchant Navy.

Sienna Rose’s Savabeel colt sold for $310,000 at Karaka earlier this year, purchased by Matt Laurie and De Burgh Equine. While she will not be represented in the yearling sales this season, Sienna Rose has a colt at foot by Hello Youmzain and is back in foal to the dual Group 1-winning sprinter.
