Exciting three-year-old Concrete Storm has continued his hot run of form against older opposition with his latest success at Rosehill.

The son of Hello Youmzain had been successful at Hawkesbury and Newcastle before making a stylish winning city debut over 1400 metres for trainers John O’Shea and Tom Charlton and rider Zac Lloyd.

"He's always been a talented horse but he's still a bit of a work in progress," Charlton said.

"At Hawkesbury, he wanted to lug in when he got to the front so he's not the finished product yet, but he certainly has his share of talent.”

Concrete Storm was purchased by his trainers and James Bester Bloodstock for $120,000 at New Zealand Bloodstocks National Yearling Sale where he was offered by Kilgravin Lodge.

He was bred by Tm Harrison out of the Savabeel mare Black Sav, who also has a Hello Youmzain yearling colt, and she is a granddaughter of two-time Group 1 winner Showella.
