Exciting four-year-old Mr Miller added to his burgeoning record at Warwick Farm where he proved in a class of his own.
The Chris Waller-trained son of our resident sire Almanzor has now posted a brace of victories and two runner-up finishes from his four appearances with the stable harbouring Group 1 ambitions.
“He is obviously a classy individual and has taken a bit of time to mentally work it all out, and I still think there is further improvement in that department,” Assistant Trainer Charlie Duckworth said.
“He is a highly progressive horse and has a very bright future. We’re hoping he could be a lightweight hope in the Epsom, it’s obviously a long way to go, but you have to dream.”
Out of the winning Pins mare Miss Miller, Mr Miller was bred by Graham and Helen-Gaye’s Blandford Lodge but failed to meet his $80,000 reserve at Karaka.
He subsequently joined Pam Gerard’s Matamata stable and following a Taupo trial win was purchased privately and now races in the colours of a syndicate headed by prominent owner Ozzie Kheir.
