Royal Heritage is far from the finished article, but his maiden success at Mildura showed he has an abundance of talent.
The three-year-old son of Hello Youmzain was making his third appearance when he made all the running to score over 1200 metres.
“He wants to get everything over and done with very quickly, he’s still growing up,” trainer Nigel Blackiston said.
“He’s going to be a really nice horse with more time and experience.”
The gelding jumped straight to the front under Brad Rawiller and held a strong gallop to score after surging clear 300 metres from home.
We bred Royal Heritage and sold him for $200,000 to Blackiston at New Zealand Bloodstock’s National Yearling Sale at Karaka.
He is a son of the Zabeel mare Victoria Belle, also the dam of former champion Singapore three-year-old and stayer Clint.
A granddaughter of dual Group 1 winner Foxwood, Victoria Belle is currently back in foal to Hello Youmzain.
