Another attractive victory

Exciting prospect Attractiveness continued her rapid ascent with further success at Rosehill.

The daughter of Hello Youmzain has now won three of her five starts this preparation for trainers Richard and Will Freedman and stayed on strongly at the end of 1500 metres for her fourth overall victory from nine appearances.

Connections and supporters of the less than even money favourite had a pre-race scare when apprentice Siena Grima lost her irons and Attractiveness gave herself a sterner than intended run to the barrier.

“It wasn’t ideal, but they got her under control quickly,” Will Freedman said. “I was confident she was the best horse in the race.”

The four-year-old jumped well to sit close to the action in a stop start race and finished off determinedly in the run home.

Out of the winning High Chaparral mare Hot In High Heels, Attractiveness was bred by Graham and Helen-Gaye Bax and sold through their Blandford Lodge draft at New Zealand Bloodstock’s National Yearling Sale for $120,000.
