State of success

Iminastate has been close to the action on multiple occasions and deservedly broke through in style at Kembla Grange.

The Sword Of State three-year-old had placed in three of his six appearances for trainers Richard and Will Freedman before he put away his rivals in the hands of Keegan Latham.

Stepping up to 1600 metres for the first time, our homebred was tardily away before quickly improving to sit in behind the pace and, once clear, finished resolutely to break his maiden.

Iminastate was purchased by her trainers out of our draft at New Zealand Bloodstock’s National Yearling Sale for $100,000.

She is a daughter of the More Than Ready mare Imanana, whose dam Imananabaa won the G1 Railway Handicap, and we sold Iminastate’s sister at Karaka earlier this year to Mike Breslin and InToWin Syndications for $120,000.

Due to foal again to Sword Of State, Imanana has produced a quartet of winners including Brazen Beau’s well-performed daughter Ima Brazen One.
