Sword Of State filly tops sale

A daughter of our exciting young stallion Sword Of State has topped New Zealand Bloodstock’s National Online Yearling Sale.

Via the Gavelhouse platform, she was offered as Lot 18 by Curraghmore and sold to Japanese buyer Golden Orchid Brothers for $70,000.

The filly is a half-sister to the G3 Desert Gold Stakes winner Power Of Will with their dam the Savabeel mare Sade and the family of the G1 Queensland Derby winner Mr Quickie.

Another daughter of Sword Of State, Lot 99, was also popular and was secured by Queensland interests for $50,000 from the draft of Beaufort Downs.

She is out of the Iffraaj mare Mistaar, a six-time winner whose son Pasir Pinji has success in the Listed Selangor Gold Cup to his credit.
