Progressive four-year-old Bulb General has continued to make up for lost time in Hong Kong with further success at Sha Tin.
Our homebred son of Embellish trounced his Class Three rivals over 1200 metres in the hands of Zac Purton for expatriate Kiwi trainer Jamie Richards.
Bulb General had finished third on debut in February before he was sidelined by a bout of colic and returned in July to break his maiden and was again impressive in his latest score.
He was purchased out of our Book 1 draft at New Zealand Bloodstock’s National Yearling Sale for $175,000 by Richards and Andrew Williams Bloodstock and won a two-year-old trial at Te Rapa before relocating to Hong Kong.
Bulb General is the first winner for the Fastnet Rock mare Stylish Achiever who has since produced another son, Bellish Boy, and daughter of Embellish and is back in foal to our resident sire.
Stylish Achiever is out of the G3 Irwin Stakes and G1 Robert Sangster Stakes third Flying Object.
The Peintre Celebre mare is a daughter of the five-time Group 3 winner Will Fly and she also produced Sanziro, successful in the G2 Maribyrnong Plate and G3 Blue Diamond Preview.
