A fresh Fast ‘N’ Inzaine emphasised her fighting qualities when she successfully returned from a break on the Hillside track at Sandown.
The three-year-old was forced to cover extra ground over the 1000 metre trip but still scored with authority in her first appearance since a debut third at Ballarat during the winter.
We bred the daughter of Hello Youmzain and the Tavistock mare Deepdene and will offer her half-sister by Bivouac as Lot 378 during next week’s New Zealand Bloodstock National Yearling Sale.
Trained by Ciaron Maher, Fast ‘N’ Inzaine settled toward the back of the field before sweeping down the outside in the hands of Robert Whearty.
“I wanted to hang onto her for as long as I could and she was very tough,” the successful rider said.
“It wasn’t ideal being three deep, but she knuckled down well to put them to bed.”
Fast ‘N’ Inzaine was purchased out of our Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale draft by Maher for A$80,000 and is Deepdene first foal.
As a member of the Eight Carat family, the dam naturally boasts a pedigree littered with top-class winners.
