Cambridge Stud completed a notable family buying double in Australia when they secured an Anamoe youngster during the Magic Millions Yearling Sale.

One of a quartet of well-credentialled fillies we purchased during the Gold Coast auction, she is a half-sister to our flagship performer Joliestar, a three-time Group I-winning daughter of Zoustar who was purchased from Segenhoe Stud for A$950,000 at the Inglis Easter Yearling Sale.

Their dam is the stakes-winning Fastnet Rock mare Jolie Bay whose Anamoe youngster was also offered by Segenhoe and claimed for A$470,000.

It is an outstanding family with the dam a sister to the multiple top-flight winner and sire Merchant Navy and their mother Legally Bay was also twice successful at black-type level.

Meanwhile, a daughter of Alabama Express from the draft of Yulong was knocked down to us for A$420,000.

She is out of the former quality performer Reelem In Ruby, a Pierro mare who won on four occasions including the G2 Hot Danish Stakes and her only foal to race by Snitzel, Tyreek, has been a winner.

The family has a strong international flavour featuring the four-time North American elite level winner Possibly Perfect while Coil and Chiropractor also have Group 1 victories on the CVs.

Shortly after her purchase, we signed for a Proisir filly consigned by Highgrove Stud for A$320,000.

She is the first foal of the Pins mare Reputabelle, who collected three Listed wins during her career and is a three-quarter sister to the G3 Victoria Handicap winer and G1 Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes runner-up Stickpin.

Our Gold Coast haul was completed by the acquisition of an I Am Invincible filly.

Presented by Yarraman Park Stud, she was knocked down for A$300,000 and is out of the Fastnet Rock mare Chequerboard whose four victories featured the Listed Tasmanian Oaks and finished runner-up in the Strutt Stakes.

The second dam is the unraced Zabeel mare Chi whose half-sister What Can I Say claimed the G2 Warwick Stakes and G3 Mapperley Stud Stakes and produced Group 2 winners Only Words, Chat and Only Snow.

Also on the pedigree page is former top sprinter and multiple stakes winner Babylon Berlin.
