A stunning filly by Chaldean attracted widespread interest during the Goffs November Foal Sale.
The well-related chestnut daughter of our new shuttle stallion was consigned by the Irish National Stud and was knocked down to Airlie Stud for €230,000 ($475,000).
She is out of the Pivotal mare Aimhirgin Lass, who has a 100 percent record at stud with all four of her foals to race successful and has also made her mark in this part of the world.
Her son Soul Of Spain broke his maiden in Ireland before relocating to Chris Waller’s powerful Sydney operation and has risen through the ranks to claim this season’s G3 Newcastle Gold Cup and finished runner-up in the G1 Metropolitan Handicap.
Aimhirgin Lass is a sister to the stakes winner Seeharn with the pedigree page also featuring the G1 Golden Jubilee Stakes winner and sire Malhub.
We partnered with Juddmonte Farms to shuttle Chaldean, a dual Group 1-winning son of the mighty Frankel, whose Northern Hemisphere home is at Banstead Mahor Stud in Newmarket
He emulated his sire when he became only the ninth colt in the last 50 years to complete the G1 Dewhurst-2000 Guineas double and the only father and son duo to triumph in both events.
Standing at $35,000 + GST, Chaldean has served high-class books of mares in his first two tours of duty to Cambridge Stud.
