The Stephen Marsh-trained I’m All In crowned a memorable day for us at Ellerslie where he accounted for his open class sprint rivals in the closing event on the card.
Our highlight was Jaarffi claiming her Group 1 victory in the Otaki Maori WFA Classic and we nearly topped and tailed the meeting with homebred and raced Sword Of State youngster State Of Valour beaten a lip in the opening race.
Zoustar four-year-old I’m All In has now won three of his 17 starts and has a further 10 minor placings to his credit.
“It’s nice to end the day on a good note for the team, to his credit he dug deep to the line,” Marsh said.
“We’ll look to come back here next for the King’s Plate.”
I’m All In lobbed along near the pace and from fifth on the home bend, let down with a stirring finish for rider Warren Kennedy.
He is a son of the I Am Invincible mare Fuld’s Bet, a quality performer who won on four occasions, including the Listed WATC Gimcrack Stakes as a two-year-old.
She is a half-sister to the RL Inglis Nursery winner Irish Bet and the multiple winner and G1 Queensland Derby runner-up Rockstar Rebel.
Fuld’s Bet has an unraced Sword Of State two-year-old colt named Kusanagi who we sold for $540,000 to Mulberry Racing at Karaka in 2025 while Scott Cameron and Cameron Cooke Bloodstock went to $475,000 for his sister this year.
