Seindeel maintained his perfect second-up record in tenacious fashion at Sale.

As he had done last preparation when breaking his maiden, our lightly tried son of Dundeel improved with his resuming outing and is now a two-time winner from just sixth appearances.

The Anthony and Sam Freedman-trained Seindeel was given a perfect run in third spot away from the fence by Billy Egan and he fought bravely to the post for a short head decision at the end of 1400 metres.

“He was strong to the line and we wouldn’t be worrying about stepping him up again in trip,” stable representative James Peters said.

“He had finished off well over 1200 metres at his previous run so we knew the 1400 would be ideal.

“It was a perfect ride by Billy and the horse can only improve again.”

Seindeel was purchased from breeder Inglewood Stud’s draft at New Zealand Bloodstock’s National Yearling Sale for $150,000 by Anthony Freedman Racing and Julian Blaxland Bloodstock.

We are involved in the ownership group which also includes Inglewood’s Gus and Bianca Wigley, Freedman and partners.

He is s son of the Domesday mare Giggly, a half-sister to Group winners Crack Me Up and Hoofit.
